Consider even Rotax has multiple rubber elements in the pump assembly even though there should be no relative movement....vibration can very quickly crack metal pipework...

My filter is rubber mounted, there is just not much room to combine a hardline 180 with a short flex segment given the size of AN-06 fittings. Maybe the tight turn with the flex line like the factory did it is the best for the conditions.

Thanks for posting the plan Jon. That’s almost the exact situation I’m dealing with. It would seem like if the pump and filter are mounted as shown (so they can’t have any relative movement) it should be just fine. A long-time A&P I’m friends with also told me that he commonly sees rigid line to the inlet of electric fuel pumps.
