Any one know how long the iS will have to wait until good fuel pump assemblies will be shipped? What type of a failure would cause rotax to ground all the recent iS? - pump failure (of which there are two), system bursting reducing fuel supply, something getting loose in system and clogging system, etc?... grounding all recent air craft is a big deal, especially if it is you and you make your living flying a rotax......

There was a limited production run of fuel pumps that recently was affected.
This is what we know about it, as of today:- Rotax is working with the supplier to adapt and improve the manufacturing process
- This process, the accordant testing and production will require several weeks
We will provide updates whenever we have changes in timing or content of this information.

Yes I know it is within the last year or two. I just had one of my older main pumps fail, just got the new one, installed it, it was making unusual sounds, sent the video of the unusual sounds to rotax factory through California power and a day later heard about the safety bulletin. Since this is a SLSA, our businesses are shut down now waiting on rotax. Again I am trying to find out what specific failure would cause the total grounding of aircraft. I have my second question above again:

I heard from both cal power and Lockwood end of November if they get a manufacturer, test it and no problems. Based on history we will be lucky to actually see them by then.

Those are only guesses by the dealers, there has been no official timeline update from the factory as of yet.
