In Rotax 912 iS Installation Manual, in page 71 fuel pump current consumption is min. 10A. Moreover, in page 99, 12V 9.1A. Which one is correct and is it too high for a pump?
Section 24-00-00, Page 24 is specifying the Fuel Pump SWITCH requirements. (10A)
Section 73-00-00, Page 8 is specifying the Nominal Fuel Pump CURRENT. (9.1A)
Both are correct.
These are only nominal numbers. Your actual values will vary.
Your only concern is to wire a 10A SPST Switch with 16AWG wire as specified on section 24-00-00, page 36
The actual Voltage and Current are controlled by the A-Generator, which you have no control over.

The 912 has a 4psi fuel pressure.
The 914 has an 8psi fuel pressure.
The 912is has a 45psi fuel pressure.
The 912 fuel pumps are capable of 100psi and will have higher currents at higher pressures.
The 9.1A spec is for design purposes at worst case conditions.
Normal currents will be closer to 6-7A.
When both pumps operate at the same time, they will share the load and so will Not draw double the current.
I am not able to measure that actual current on my engine any time soon.
I suspect that Dual pump operation under Normal conditions might be in the 7-9A range.
All of this is only of academic interest as the power is supplied internally by the A-Generator and NOT by the battery or any part of your electrical design except during engine start or Backup-Power operation.
Installing a 16AH Battery and wiring it with 12AWG Wire is all that is needed to ensure a 30 minute flight time after a double generator failure.
Why is this a concern to you?
Bill.
