B.U.D.S. V3.0.1

I downloaded the V3.0.1 B-U.D.S. as instructed in Rotax Sl-912i-002R2 and followed the service letter install instructions. All appeared normal. However, with my level 2 dongle plugged in to the computer I get;

cannot run, api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0-d is missing.

After 3 retry downloads I still get the" cannot run message". Any one have any suggestions?

    What version of Windows is your machine running ?
    (Type winver into a start button search box, or DOS command window)

    64-bit, or 32-bit Windows?
    ( in Win 10 you can run the command: control.exe /NAME Microsoft.System )

    Sorry, I should have included that info in my post. Windows 7, 64 bit. If most people are downloading the program OK then I would suspect my computer (HP laptop).

    Can you upgrade that laptop to Win10?
    We're not seeing any problems with BUDS 3.0.1 on Win10 machines.

    I don't have any Windows7 machines left to test with here (everything in our shop is running Win10 now, with OOSU10 added to remove the unwanted telemetry).

    Can you provide the exact "OS Build Number" of your Win7? (Hold down the "WindowsKey" plus R, then type winver )

    That way I can pass it on to the factory and they can confirm for me whether or not they can reproduce the problem with the identical build... (If they can, then it's not a problem with your machine)

    One other thing...

    That error message is possibly indicating that a windows component called the "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015" is missing or corrupted in your windows installation.

    You can try downloading the component directly from Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=48145

    ( There's a chance that reinstalling it could solve the problem)

    I'm using Windows 7 pro 64 bit and no issues.
