If I could afford it, I would go with the injected engine. It's been out long enough for most bugs to be sorted and Rotax mechanics to become familiar.
I big bonus (as I see it) it the greater range of the aircraft brought about by the better fuel economy....

As I believe, we may be the first Teen Build of the Vans RV-12iS with the Rotax 912iS. We patiently await our 912iS Engine Kit delivery next month (August 2018).
I am a lazy RV-12 builder/owner that is tired of the hassle of rebuilding and syncing carbs. I look forward to the 30% fuel savings/extended range. With the new beefed up iS fuselage and FADEC fuel injected engine, I believe this aircraft will become a hardy low maintenance, fuel efficient trainer. Time will tell.
