New 912iS Owner

I'm about 3-4 weeks away from my first engine start with the 912 iS Sport (in a Sling 2 - see pic attached).
I'm getting pretty excited about the whole thing now, after never really ever thinking I would finish building!

Will put some posts up to let you know how it goes..

I have now started the engine and been taxiing around the place.

The engine is really awesome - it started on its first turn, and is the smoothest (aircraft) engine I have sat behind - we had it up to about 5300rpm just for a short while. Soon I will be doing high-power runs etc.

It really is quiet and smooth and has had zero issues to date.

I will be flying in the next 3-4 weeks (although every time I say this it seems to double...). I will post another message once it flies to let you know how that goes.

But, at this stage I am really excited about how this engine is going to perform, especially the low fuel burn numbers..that is what I am most looking forward to seeing.
