From Dynon's webpage "New Rotax 912 iS FAULTS menu to aid in engine installation and troubleshooting."

And from the Dynon User Manual, "A detailed list of faults reported by the Rotax 912iS engine computer is shown under MENU >ENGINE MENU > FAULTS. Normally, it should say NONE. Consult your Rotax service organization for details of what to do if a fault is shown."

Hi MHS,
thanks, I followed the links but could not find what this actually displays....sounds like a nice addition though.

The 912IS data that is downloaded occasionally is still pretty cryptic, I have not yet been able to find an application that interprets the data ...hopefully someone will and perhaps the Dynon will make this less secret.

Having said that after 450hr on the IS I have had no significant problems !

Here is the response I got back from Garmin Support:

"Not to worry, if you have a Rotax 912iS FADEC engine you can see detailed FADEC status and fault information simply by accessing config mode on your G3X Touch system.
