Fan is not working. Regarding producer it shout start from 90 deg but it's not. Fan itself is OK if I connect it direct to battery. So the temp. sensor is wrong.

Hi Bart,
I have a friend with a Sirius and 912IS, and has also had a few problems with overheating.

TL have been very helpful and the problem is solved now, so I suggest you talk to them first.

However a couple of points.

1) The fan should come on so it sounds like you have a bad temp sensor.

2) The fan should pull air from the front of the aircraft through to the back NOT blow air forwards that would be against the natural airflow.

3) the fan shroud needs good sealing around the radiator or it will not pull air through.

If I was working the problem I would.

a) Make sure there is a good seal around the shroud so all air pulled by the fan MUST go through the radiator.

b) Temporarily install a manual switch and turn it on when temps hit 90 degrees and see if that fixes the problem.

c) Then if that fixes it you just have to fix the "controller problem".

Hi. I've a new TL 3000 Sirius. I operate it in a controlled airport, and I have problems with cooling temp too. After taxi 1,5 milles at 50kph, cooling temp is 120 or highest (before engine tests) :(

I think that my aircraft hasn't got any fan.

What about your aicraft? Had been solved cooling temp problems?

It has anyone any advice?

1.5 miles is a long taxi. Without any air flow at a taxi temps are going to rise. Some aircraft handle this better than others. You might see if there is anyway to get a better airflow on the ground through the cowl. You may need to make an opening bigger. that's just a thought.
