Further info
Same rpm range. 5250 5350
Inconsistent vibration in that it comes and goes.
The engine runs turbine smooth at times then suddenly developers a vibration. I think it could be the slipper clutch?
Any thoughts?

the clutch will not slip without a huge load but I think you are referring to the movement between the dog hub and dog gear? A couple of reasons why this is unlikely:
1-the dogs should be pretty much locked-up at such a high RPM
2-The 912iS has a zero degree dogs, unlike the 30 degrees of play in the other 9 series gearboxes.
It not just a prop harmonic?

Further observations.....
Roughness comes and goes at 5300
If I leave rpm as is and pull back into a climb the roughness improves. ..... Any idea?

sounds like a prop issue, can you get it dynamically balanced? If not try 1 more degree of pitch?
