Parallel.....Series......Duh! Why didn't I read that a second time! No problem then. Maybe the little Rotax elves in the Black Forest could add a note reminding simpletons like me that the Rotax supplied pumps are in series.

Do note that ONLY ONE pump should be on for start up! (power consumption).
I normally start on one, then taxi on the other and set both on for take off (change to one above 1000' agl) and back to two for landing.
Hope that helps!

Did you guys see the email from Rotax Owner this January, "ROTAX announces New Fuel Filter for 912iS series" ?
The New Fuel Filter (part no. 874060) looks suspiciously like "Bosch 0450905021" recommended in this thread by Mr. Seaton. Are you guys using this expensive new filter?

I'm searching for the technical data of the Bosch filter p/n 0450905021, with the size of the filtration.
For the new Rotax filter P/N 874060, it's 6.5 microns +/- 2.

I originally used the Golan 10 micron Billet filter shown in the earlier thread with the reference to Aircraft Spruce. Nice filter but
does not have enough surface area. I once got some dregs from an airport fuel tank and had to change the internal filter element every
two flight hours for several flights. When Rotax introduced the new large metal filter the Kitfox factory issued a service instruction
and a kit with a new filter meeting the "before fuel pump requirement" and the new Rotax filter as the "before fuel rail" requirement.
Also included is a machined manifold with provisions for fuel pressure sensor, Rotax filter, and filter bypass check valve. A
very neat and compact unit.
