Oops, well I’m embarrassed, this is a 912i discussion and I own a 912UL. That would explain why I don’t have them! But do the lane excitations occur in the same manner on my engine?
Don't worry. The UL system is conventional in that you do not have dual computer lanes to monitor. Lane lamps are not used in the carb engines. There are lamps used in the 914 however as there is a turbo control unit, TCU, that monitors functions that require warning lamps.
New install: Dynon system. Lane A light stays on, Lane B light goes off. Wiring and grounds seem all Ok. Oil pressure and Coolant temp ok. When engine revs up, it runs smooth. Turn Lane B off with Lane A light on, engine still runs. What could be the fault in Lane A?
