I've used one of those Draper strap wrenches for years and found them really good until I tried to remove the filter off a rebuilt 912 and it couldn't shift it. It just slipped and distorted the can. I've never seen this before, it has always worked effectively. All I can assume is that the builder used one of the filter ring spanners to get it so tight.
This is the best one I have ever used. I don’t care how tight it is it’s coming off and this wrench won’t damage the filter whether putting it on or taking it off. It gats into tight close quarters and it’s easy to use. It is stainless steel.
