All what Roger L has recommended plus - ambient temperature has an effect on sustainable idle rpm.
Most 912 pilots living/flying in hot climates (seems to be all over the World now) will notice a change between winter & summer idle performance.
The tendency is for rougher running at idle and for the engine to stall (usually on landing) in the hotter months.
If you are fortunate enough to have an adjustable idle stop on your throttle quadrant you could up the idle speed slightly for summer (assuming you have carried out Rogers L's advice).
Can you share the data on this. I’m based in Alabama and I’ve never had a problem with a tendency for my 912 UL to “run rough” or to “stall” in the hotter months. My engine idles fine and responds well to throttle inputs Winter or Summer. Is there something mentioned about this in a Rotax manual?
Regardless of the temp it's all rpm based. i.e...is yours too low, in the right range or maybe on the high side. So long as it isn't too low you shouldn't have any issues. You shouldn't ever be just sitting there at low idle rpms anyway so then OAT shouldn't be an issue.

It may have been,,,,,, We pulled to hard on the throttle. My safety pilot thought I was using more throttle then I should on my finals and he would check it and I would recheck it, by pulling. I'm use to adjusting throttle on my Dakota, but on my new experience with the RV12 you could float a ways and eat up runway. I need to be more gentle. Cables may have stretched.
