914 oil pressure

oil pressure gauge reading high, replaced the sender but no difference, looks like electrical as the needle waiver’s, sometimes off the scale, without any throttle input

any suggestions where to look

Hi Greg,

Try using a "master gauge" to get an accurate reading, to compare with your panel instrument.

Check - connections for a secure tight fit - wires for abrasion & security. This includes earth system.

You might also consider giving us more information eg what sort of gauge, aircraft, hrs, etc?

Temporarily connect a mechanical/Needle style Pressure gauge.
You may have an unstable pressure regulator like This One.
