Roger,
I cleaned the carbs in carb cleaner and blew out all the orfices but as you state one could still be clogged. I figure I may as well order carb rebuilt kits due to thinking the same as you stated in possibly having old seals and dried up O-rings. I will leave the clip where it is at and go through the carbs again. When I did the synching I did it at all RPMs. They seemed to be synched much better at the higher RPM (steady green) and would be 'flickering' at low RPM. I was using a borrowed Cab Mate with the LEDS.
I had read someplace that the plug gap was best at a smaller setting up here in the north country. I am in northern MN and it was in the 20's last night and up to a whooping 40 degrees right now but supposed to get up to 70. :) I will reset them to 0.25 and see if that does anything.
Your right about the gap in cold country. If you live in MN then I would use .023 for the gap. I have seen many a carb that has sat a long time and the jets needed to be rodded out because carb cleaner won't touch the dried on fuel residue.
