Rough running in flight

Im going to look into carb sync next. I was thinking of replacing the inner cables with new thinner wires. Will see how it goes. I got rough running agin today after take off and when i powered back for descent. Cruise was fine though. 

Can we assume you did a carb sync 40 hours ago, just after the carbs were last serviced?

The carbs are due for inspection in 30 hours and they were last synced 40 hours ago at annual eight months ago

Somthe latest on this problem.

i checked the floats and they are within spec and the bowls were clean. Left carb on very slight angle from vertical. Throttle cables are moving equally.

flight test at 5200RPM (i have constant speed prop) show smooth running at MP of 27’

anything less than 27’ and the left ignition is rough. ?
