Hi Tim
This oil leak will be from a failed o ring seal between the two faces. This o ring seals an oil gallery which oil passes through to oil the mag end bearing of the crankshaft. If it is leaking towards the out side of the casing, it could be leaking a lot worse on the inside of the casing which will reduce the oil pressure on the crank bearing.
I would suggest you have this repaired by removing and resealing the case halves and by fitting a new o ring.
It will not get better by itself and it could get worse.
