Interesting ... the water heated carb system is what pretty much every single car maker uses to heat throttle bodies.
My ship has the Rotax airbox with muff around the exhaust for carb heat. It's placarded to be "ON" when the OAT is below 10 degrees C. Since the heated air is, unlike Lycoming/Continental, filtered air, there's very little downside to having it on much of the time.
