I had to install a non TSO'd MP gauge from aircraft spruce ,and just as suspected no seeable boost . I installed a spring to assist the closure of the waste gate , 40"MP and back to 5500 rpms on the climb out back to new performance. Wondering if any one here knows if there is a spring inside the turbo charger assembly dont know if i should install a new turbo charger (now with 98hrs) or just fly as is. 1) thanks Steeme for NOT installing a manifold pressure gauge so we can infinitely trouble shoot blindly . Only a 500k aircraft they saved 100bucks during the assembly processes, yay 2) the service lube hole for the waste gate is at the bottom ,no way the lube can get the upper waste gate area. 3) no effective waste gate spring that closes the gate , could be why most steemes have turbo issues, the one the dont have issues are owned by 95 year old billon airs that forgot about the plane,
