I just did something similar on mine and it’s running perfect.
First thing I did was to set the idle mix screws as per the video. That is turn them all the way in And back them out 1.5 turns. Do you this on both carburettors.
Then I followed the procedure for the idle stop screw. That is to swap the spring over so that the throttle is pulled to full, back to stop screw out, put in a feeler gauge and turn back in as per the video.
make sure both sides hit the idle stop and full throttle stop at the same time. If one hits first, make some adjustments until they both hit each and at the same time. Make sure your springs are back in the original location, and you are done.
Once I did this my carb sync was almost perfect.
I should also mention that my idle is set perfectly now at 2100
