Variable pitch propeller on 912ULS2

Hi,

Having a ULS2-01, how critical it is to use it with a DUC variable pitch propeller (constant pitch)? Is it a must to modify the gearbox to ULS3?

Let me rephrase it - with ULS2 DUC hybrid propeller is possible, and with ULS3 DUC hydraulic is possible. The proper question - what is better?
