Low Fuel Pressure

This intermittent low fuel pressure "problem" has been an ongoing issue in this forum for many years-just do a search. My 912uls has had this issue since new, and it is NOT a filter issue, sensor issue, vapor lock, or air in the sensor line; believe me, I have carefully eliminated all these possibilities more than once. I believe it is an inherent issue with the newest Rotax fuel pump, but they won't admit it. My engine is on a high wing Kitfox and I do not have any auxiliary electric fuel pump. After 800 hours I finally quit worrying about it because the engine has never even hiccuped during a full power climbout with the pressure below redline.

I have been operating the same engine and have been through multiple fuel pumps for over 10 years and have had the same fuel pressure problems as others but the engine has never stumbled or quit. The variable pressures seem to show up after a pump change and then dissipate over time. My fuel pressures have been stable for the last 2 years.

I wish I could say my fuel pressure issues have gone away over 800 hours, but it still occurs occasionally, maybe somewhat less often. I am due for a new fuel pump (part of the 5-year rubber replacement recommendations) and I am a little concerned that the new pump may cause an increase in low pressure incidents. I believe the replacement pump is the same as the original pump I have had for 7 years.
