B&C makes an alternator that uses the vacuum pump drive. You'll have to contact them regarding output and model number.

Right, the BC410-H, but it mounts on the front replacing vac pump. Installed it last year. Works great, but suffers from 2.43 to 1 gearbox ratio..
Question: is there a rear mounted ( near water pump) alternator?

I have a B&C L40 on the back of my 914UL in my Europa XS. Works very well, but heavy! I can provide you plns if interested.

I added The B&C on the back of the gearbox years ago and it works great. The regulator is adjustable so I set it to output 2/10ths of a volt higher than the output of the Rotax generator, It carries the load most of the time unless the battery get run down a bit then I see almost 40 amps on the climb out above 5000rpm.
