Hi all,
Just wanted to let everyone know that my low oil pressure is fixed!!!
It may actually be a little too high...
Finally got it back together. Removed thermostat, all hard bends and installed mushroom.
If I take off when oil temp is around 140, the pressure is at around 78.
Is this normal at these temps?
This pressure goes down as the oil temp warms up.
At temps of 230, the pressure never got below 40 psi and was solid...ya!!!
Just myself on a 60 degree day, cruising at 5200 rpm, i was seeing 230 temps and powered down alittle to get temps down. That'll be the next problem to fix...
The rotax mechanic blocked the cowl off when he mounted the oil cooler to the firewall.
I thought this was done to install the thermostat, but the thermostat was installed prior to the firewall oil cooler mount.
Hopefully I can cut a couple 1 inch holes in the cowl opening and everything will be good...it is never that easy though.
Thanks for all the help!
