Thanks Guys, got alignment tool and new rings arriving this morning.

My only concern is, why all the o-rings on the left decided to go at the same time, and none on the right. This just doesn't seem normal. Any ideas on why this could be? I'd hate to do all this work and have them blow out again.

Who knows, but since they are all bad and the engine is old replace them all. It's good maint. practice for this issue.

Checked all the plugs today, found oil on number 2. Pulled the head and cylinder. Not happy with what I found. No idea what could have set off this sudden issue. Push-Rod O-Rings are in perfect condition and have clearly been replaced before. Also scuff marks in the Cylinder indicate motor has been opened previously. I'm not even sure where to begin.

So there must have been a high oil pressure in the case for some or other reason.

Really wish we had more options for a Rotax Service Centre here in New Zealand.

to add photos:

use the green "Action" button and choose "reply".

Then at the bottom of the text box you will see an Attachments button.

Click on that and you will see below it "Add files" button

You can then insert the file into your message with the "insert" button:


( or just leave it as an attachment, people who are logged in will be able to view it that way too...)

Anyway, when you're done with all that , scroll down to the bottom and use the "Submit" button to post your message
