air filter comes loose

in 912 / 914 Technical Questions 7 years ago
For a long time one of the air filters on my 2005 912 uls keeps vibrating loose (on a Rans S7S). I have safety-wired both filters to the carbs, so they do not fall off but the one loosens up no matter how much i tighten it. Any thoughts on how to keep them on tightly?

    What are you using to hold them ON?
    Worm, Screw, Spring, Ear Clamp?
    Have you ever replaced the problem maker?

    I agree with Bill. Change the clamps and or if vibration seems to be an issue remedy the vibration issue.
