Not Charging

in 912 / 914 Technical Questions 7 years ago
My 914 turbo installed on a searey is not charging I replace the regulator rectifier also installed a new battery the engine has 200 hours since new I suspect the stater any input ? at 3500 RPM stater puts out 28 vAC 15 VAC at I800 RPM

    your stator is OK, the AC volts are right where they are supposed to be.
    -Check the "C" wire is the same volts as the bus and battery volts. (master ON)
    -Check the grounding of the regulator, the housing needs a resistance free ground. be wary of dissimilar metals such as bolts, stainless firewall and uncoated terminals.
    -Do you have a 22,000mF capacitor installed?
