easy start unlock cable

I read something about this mystery (for me) unlock cable which has Rotax denomination SI-912-028.
I tried to find information on this forum about it, but did not (yet?) find an answer.
My question is: what is this, what does it do, what is it for, do I need it on my 912ULS? I have no clue.

Did you read the Service Instruction?

This applies to engines with the serial numbers listed in the Instructions.
What is your engine's Serial Number?
