This thread is all about the mechanical pump back-flow valve and I agreed with Prash that there is Zero velocity valve in water hammer possible and maybe it's the ideal situation but still i don't have read about it or see an example of my professional career. I like to write some guides on the execution of all kinds of valves and pumps. You may read my guides at https://www.clarksol.com/valves/. I think for you and other people have good content to learn more about valve there.
