On my most recent flight I noticed CHT climbing in cruise to the 260 area. I reduced power and it went down. When I tried to increase power it went back up so I flew the remaining 20 miles with reduced power and landed. It was only CHT#1 that increased and CHT#2 actually decreased. In fact, when #1 increased to 259, #2 decreased to 157. Is it possible to have a 100 degree difference between sides, or is this an indication problem? The plane is a new SLSA with a 912ULS. My understanding is that the probes are actually coolant temp probes so they are reading the same coolant in different locations. Not sure how one can go up and the other down. When I downloaded the engine data I see this has happened before but I just didn't notice it in flight.
