The rubber carb flanges are in the 5 year rubber replacement. My guess is your old "O" rings are just smashed into the indent on the flange. When the flange comes off you will see the grove the "O" ring sits in.

For all others there is a solid reason to do a 5 year rubber change and it isn't just hoses.
