When fueling my Rans S7S/912uls yesterday i discovered the gas cap gaskets were disintegrating. (I replaced all the rubber hoses in the fuel system 3 years ago but stupidly did not think about the gas cap gaskets.) I have recovered almost all the fragments but cannot be sure some very small fragments (e.g., 1/8") have not fallen into the tanks. My ship has a gascolator with a fine mesh screen and the fuel line has a ceramic filter with very fine pores. My question is should i drain the tanks and suction them out in case some small fragments fell into the tanks?
Not sure about the quantity you took out, but if it were me I would just watch the gascolator. It would take an awful lot of rubber particles to block it.
