David is correct, but the a new float dry weight is irrelevant. They must have been soaking in fuel then weighed. If they sat out overnight any fuel saturation would evaporate. When we weigh our floats they should have just come out of the carb bowl, dried off then weighed.
What I have normally been seeing is 5.9 - 6.2 grams.

What if I removed the floats from the bowl and immediately sealed them up in a small zip-lock bag. Then weighed them the following day. Would my weight be accurate enough?
