I am so worried about my ROTAX 914 engine.
This has become BOIL and CHT rapidly increased up to 120C.
The radiator is standard size as per 914 manual installed.
As EVANS is not permitted. What you suggest.?
How to use DEX COOLANT 50/50, or else some modify the radiator?
What Aircraft is this installed in?
You should not even be approaching the 120°C limit.
Why are you so Hot?
The size of the radiator does not matter if you can Not get good airflow through it.
Has the weather changed?
Is this temperature in Flight?
Overheating while on the ground is not unusual.
A 50/50 Ethylene Glycol/Water-based coolant will run much cooler than a Straight Propylene Glycol (Evans) coolant.
If freezing is not an issue a 60/40 coolant will run slightly cooler
60% Water = -12°F Freeze Point.
Is this a new problem or what has changed?

This is pusher configure HOME BUILD AIRCRAFT 914 SUFFIX 1.
on Ground run oil temp 50c , COOLANT EVANS quickly reached to 100-120C.
as for DEX COOLANT also very quickly boiled during Ground run.
now weather is 35-40C.
still flight not carried out. This is first problem seems to me.
once we tried for fresh air blow on ENGINE that seems little bit longer run with EVANS COOLANT.
what you suggest for SUFFIX 1 DEX COOLANT50/50?
