Go ahead and adjust the trigger. There is a minimum and max gap listed in the manual. I prefer to use the minimum. You can loosen two, but leave the other alone. While you are in there check all of them. There is an SB on doing this and it's in the manual.
Once done hopefully your problem is behind you.
