Also check if the wastegate itself has free movement or it is sticking. It might need some lubrication.

Also, if you had run the software previously on COM2, you'll have to find and delete it's config file, so that it can accept the choice of COM1 now. Whatever port you use should be on the default settings for 9600-N-8-1 no parity ... See also the TCU-tips document in the member's technical library
