Thank you Rotax Owner Admin for providing the correct reference.
From 24-00-00, page 8, fig. 3 is it true that while at idle, (2000 RPM), the maximum current, at 20 Deg C, and 13.5VDC is 7A?

Roger, I am flying a Kitfox Model 7 Super Sport with 912uls. Ducati regulator is mounted aft of the firewall in the cockpit area away from any hot components and little to no vibration.

@Ian: that is correct, +/- 5%. The lower the RPM, the less current is generated. That's why it is important to have a good battery with lots of reserve capacity...
