When I received my Rotax 912 ULS for my RV-12 aircraft, Rotax had already installed Thermoristors for two of the four cylinders. I've been told that I can add two additional thermocouples Type J to connect to the remaining two cylinders. My question is .... can anyone provide Thermocouple info (part no, etc) and also where do they connect on the cylinders?
I know this is a shot in the dark, but maybe I'll get lucky.
Roger is correct; with liquid cooling the temps are consistent so you only need 1 CHT probe.
The reason the engine is supplied with 2 CHT probes: For a tractor configuration use the #3 CHT (most rear cylinder hottest).
For a pusher use #2 CHT (most rear/hottest) should be used.
