Hi all on my last flight while carrying some touch and goes at my local flying club on the third pull up with full power on the engine started running really rough so cut the circuit short and landed run the engine up still rough so allowed the engine to cool down 1/2 hr later started her she run smooth and no further problems during flight home, after landing inspected the carb bowls and found that one of the floats in the starboard carb was not floating and one of the floats in the port carb was lying very low in the fuel . Have ordered two new setts my question is do you think this was the likely cause as everything else seemed normal.
Maybe the cause depending on rpm. Sinking floats cause flooded carbs at low Rams , but usually smooth out at high rpm settings because you're using all the fuel come into the carb.
It's a reasonable bet that was your problem, but new floats will tell.
