    Claude,

    The Line Maintenance Manual, chapter 5-50-00 paragraph 3.6, explains what's required if the heads are overheated based on temperature and time.



    The factory has done some testing regarding over temp cylinder heads, and the engine will continue to run even with no coolant, however the heads will need to be replaced at that point.
