The spark plug caps are a standard NGK part that are also used on some motorcycles. I am not aware of any non-genuine 'pattern' parts.
My experience of the NGK cap is that they don't last forever. It seems to be the pull-off force that becomes weaker over time until they do not remain securely on the plug.
I haven't had any where the resistive elements have failed but I have heard of others who have had this happen.
Indeed the NGK type was unavailable for 8 to 9 months or so and kind of sold out everywhere during 2023. But they are back on the shelve. Walked into my bike shop last week and the guy remembered me waiting for months for the parts last year. He checked with his supplier and confirmed current availability. Not that I needed any right now but they are back.
