Make sure the overflow tube from the new style fuel pump does not vent into any airflow or area of high or low pressure as this will cause erroneous pressure readings especially on instruments that are very sensitive like the D180/D120/Skyviews.
We had similar issues - the Rotax distributor nearby recommended that just to be sure you should vent the tube into a small open top bottle secured inside the cowl - that will eliminate the influence of any airflow that may be passing the tube.
