Hi all, I'm having a hard time finding out what is wrong with a certain 912ULS installation in a Aerospool Dynamic WT9. I've done many checks now, but all to no avail. The problem is that the charging system will not work correctly. Either I get no charging at all, or, sometimes when I switch the "C" wire on/off I get charging voltages as high as 17-18V. The strange thing is that the alternatorlight will also not light up when everything is powered up with the engine not running. The light is not broken, it wil work when I connect the "L" wire to ground. I've tried 3 different regulator/rectifiers, of which one was brand new. I've checked ground connections, found resistance between al ground points max 0,1 Ohms. I've changed the battery. Checked the AC output, that was OK. Checked resistance from the yellow wires. Checked for voltage at the B+, R and C terminals. Found al within 0,1V of each other. Even rigged these terminals with a testwire directly from the battery connected in series to C, B+ and R. The system does not have the condensator, but then again, it has performed flawlessly for the last 7 years with about 3000hrs on the A/C. Starting to get puzzled a bit. Am I overlooking something, has anybody got any idea? Does anyone know what triggers the generatorlight to illuminate or not? Any help very much appreciated!
