Is it OK to warm-up (to @ 120 degrees F) my 912ULS in anticipation of a carb sync session with just the sync gauges connected? Or, should I warm-up the engine first with the balance tube properly connected, and THEN hook-up the sync gauges??
Either way will work, but I prefer to always warm first to keep the balance tube in play. The engine will usually be slightly rougher with the balance tube disconnected, even when in sync. The balance tube does make a difference. If out of sync quite a bit then disconnecting the tube to warm will make it worse.
