Yes i have the return line confused with the vent nipple on the new corona pump Which i have not bought yet. I have no other return line. And i have operated the engine 1200 hours without problems and without return line.

But i assume that it is OK to route the vent from the pump overboard as was my idea.

yes, the vent should be routed overboard. see instructions in SI-912-020 R7 running mods chapter 73-00-00

Do i really need a return line with this new corona fuel pump. I have operated the engine 1200 hours with the older fuel pumps without return line and without problem. Could i just keep my old fuel pump and not bother to by the corona pump? I installed it less than a year ago.

I'm not sure but I bought everything and I'm going to install return line to gascolator.
I'm concerned about cavitation (vapor lock) problems.

I have operated 15 years and 1200 hour with 80 hp UL. Only one time have i had vapor lock. This was an unusually hot day, and i had a small folding boat tied to my float rigg at that day so it slowed down my speed 5 knots with resultant bad cooling. But the engine did not stop it began to sputter so i landed and waited an hour for the engine to cool down a little so i could fly away again after half san hour a little sputter again and that was all.
