The saga continues. Seems like all ignition module, electrical, and generator wiring issues are resolved, but she just won't run. Getting spark and fuel.
Cranked it over for quite a while today and all I got was pops and some backfires, although they were consistent. No substantial firing or running happening. Also tried starting fluid shot into carbs. Same result.
Should I load some video?
Any suggestions on where I go from here?
Thanks, Corey

Hi Corey
It depends what you have done to the engine.
When you first mentioned the starting problem, you failed to mention that you had been playing with the wiring.
Have you altered the ignition pickups in any way? Have you removed or re-routed the HT leads and put them back on the wrong cylinders?
If you have a spark and you have squirted starter fluid into the carb throats and nothing is happening, something has been altered. If it hasn't been touched, try a new set of spark plugs. If that fails, see if you can beg, steal, or borrow someones ignition modules incase yours have given up. You will only need to swap one over.
Good luck
Mark

Ignition pickups were cleaned and I applied small amount of electrical paste to them. I have also gone over the wiring more than several times according to heavy maintenance manual. There really isn't much to miss unless it was screwed up when I got it, but I'll post the photos anyway.
Ignition modules were tested at Lockwood and were good.
Leads are on the cylinders they were on when the engine was obtained. Marking bands match cylinders. I will verify they attach to the correct ignition coils.
Spark plugs are new and have been gapped correctly.
Tried swapping wires on modules. No difference.
FYI: It has been backfiring through carbs as well as through exhaust.
I'll post pictures of ignition modules, wiring, and triggers tonight as well.

I bet the coil/module wires are incorrect.
take a look at the diagram in the Heavy MM that shows how the coils are positioned in relation to the cylinders.
