We're a small group of pilots looking to buy our very first used ultralight with a 912 UL or ULS.
From the documents SB-912-041-UL and SB-912-057-UL I can see that the TBO has been increased for new engines a few times over the years. I'm curious as to how the year of manufacture relates to the TBO (since the year is all I see when browsing the used aircraft listings).
The documents specify the following serial numbers as the first engine in each TBO-"group":
912UL
- S/N 4,152,667 (TBO 1200h/15y)
- S/N 4,404,718 (TBO 1500h/15y)
- S/N 4,409,716 (TBO 2000h/15y)
912ULS
- S/N 4,427,533 (TBO 1500h/12y)
- S/N 6,775,790 (TBO 2000h/15y)
Rob, can you please also look up the year of manufacture for those engines?
Thanks

Hi Rob how are you ? could you please post some info on this engine ? #4407181 ? we need to purchase some spares from overseas (crankcase and shaft) and we need to make sure they are compatible to our 912S.. (year 2005) by the way, is there a way to figure out if a crankcase for certain engine is compatible to another one ? and also, from which serial# the crankcases for a 912UL started coming with the though-bolt ? THANKS A LOT !!
