You may not have a problem at all. My 912ULS when cold, oat less than 60, needs full choke to start, but you have to reduce choke as soon as the engine starts, or it will have all of your issues. When warmer, it only needs partial choke. With full choke it will flood.

That is good to hear. This morning it was 48 degrees F. in North Florida and with full choke it cranked right up and ran at 2500 rpm, I slowly removed the choke and it settled into an 1800 rpm idle. I will keep trying it at different temps and see what happens. I will also try partial choke at warmer temps as well.

Any other owners out there care to share how your choke works at different temps and techniques you use.

I use full choke for cold starts but found that I have to remove it quickly as soon as the engines starts or the engine revs to 2500+ immediately and even higher when the soft start cuts off. Hot starts are no choke in warm weather if restarted within 1-2 hours. In cold weather, the amount of choke for a hot start is a guessing game. Usually about half choke does it for me. Have not had the rough coughing starts in any case. It either starts smoothly or it doesn't start.

Hi Ron I bought the Rotax float bracket level gauge and it works a treat. Get the level exact with eze. $35 over hear in Aussie; money well spent in my opinion. I should have bought it years ago.
