Hi Jeff,
Have spent the last two days checking everything I can think of.
Did not find a " smoking gun".
Decided to supplement existing orange fire sleeve, on long fuel line from gascolater to mechanical pump, with reflective aluminised adhesive backed air-condition tape and as an added precaution, fitted a lightweight aluminium heat shield to the gascolator.
I have never experienced fuel vaporisation in the air - only on the ground. The ground symptoms, (ATEC Zephyr, 912 ULS,) involved - very hot day (40+C) hard starting, loss of power & rough running after short (15-20 min) engine shutdown & restart.. The current symptoms are in Cruise, random low pressure/high flow readings, without any change in engine performance.
I think the problem more likly to be electronic/electrical - to this end have checked every connection for security /good fit. Found EMS module plugs were connected but benefited from additional tightening of security screws ?????
If the problem persists, I will certainly give the AvGas a go.😈
