I have a bad mag drop on 912ULS, and FAQ suggests using the Ignition Troubleshooting Guide. Trouble is I cannot seem to locate this guide? Where would I find it?
Regards Robert :(
Are the A&B ignition drops equal and how big a drop are we talking about and at what rpm is the mag check done?
Mag drops are affected by plug gap (too wide or too narrow), bad connection with the plug boot and ignition wire, grounding issues, thermal paste on the plug electrode, Loose plug, cap not on the plug tip tightly, poor connection up at the ignition modules. The carbs may be involved, but I would check the electrics first. These are the most common and where I would start my inspection.

Some time ago I had a bad mag drop when I cleaned the carbs by mild pressurized air and thereby dislodging the membranes in the carbs. Just my 2 cents.
